The forecast of wind only in the morning of Saturday presented a dilemma. Do I go out boozing on Friday night or not? Well temptation was too strong hence a stinker of a hangover and nil motivation to make the early trip to King Alfreds.

It was still decently windy when I eventually arrived at KA at midday but by the time I'd finished rigging up...nothing. Grrrr. I hung around feeling sorry for myself wondering why I had bothered but I decided sod it I'm here and rubbered up there's a bit of wind might as well give it a go on the big board. And to my surprise I planed almost straight off the beach. :)

The wind continued to increase and soon the Freewave was wet and well powered. A decent enough hour of chop bothering followed in typically unexciting mid-tide Hove conditions but it was sunny and warm(ish...) throughout and the company was good.

There are plenty of worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon.
